I live twenty miles North of Cambridge, two streets away from the nearest gritted road. When I left work in Cambridge this evening, I rapidly abandoned plans to go to the Carlton and went straight home instead.
Up here near Huntingdon, the snow hasn't settled much yet; I was beginning to think I'd been overly cautious. Having now heard of frithonthehills's experiences extracting his car from a snowdrift in the Carlton's car park and seen your photos, I'm reassured my prudence was well-judged.
Snow's a lot less fun when you're a grown-up with a day job and a commute. )-8
